Before You Start

Ensure the environment supports tracking
  • Use even indoor lighting where room details are clearly visible.
  • Avoid very dark spaces or direct sunlight that creates strong shadows.
Check your device setup
  • Make sure the camera is not blocked by your hands, fingers, or case.
  • Hold the device at a comfortable distance from surfaces (about arm’s length), not pressed directly against walls or floors.
  • If available, use a device with LiDAR for faster and more reliable tracking, especially in low-detail or dim spaces.

Starting or Rescanning a Session

Initialize tracking carefully
  • When opening the AR experience, slowly move the device and look around the space for 3–5 seconds.
  • This initial scan helps the app establish a stable understanding of the environment before content is placed.
Include visual detail in view
  • Aim the camera toward areas with recognizable features such as furniture, machinery, walls, or signage.
  • Avoid pointing the camera only at blank floors or plain walls, which can cause tracking to drift.

During Use

Move smoothly
  • Walk at a normal pace and avoid sudden turns, fast movements, or swinging the device.
  • Smooth motion helps maintain consistent tracking.
Maintain stable reference points
  • Keep non-moving objects like walls, furniture, or fixed equipment in view whenever possible.
  • Avoid spending long periods pointed only at moving objects.
Be mindful of reflective surfaces
  • Glass, mirrors, and glossy floors can interfere with tracking.
  • When near these surfaces, include non-reflective objects in the camera view.

If Alignment Drifts

Re-anchor using the QR code
  • The QR code serves as a reference point for alignment.
  • If virtual objects appear to shift, move back until the QR code is clearly visible on screen.
  • Use the Rescan QR option if available.
Restart if necessary
  • If returning to the QR code does not correct alignment, close the AR view and reopen it to start a new session.
