Logging In

Select ‘Sign In with Manifest’ and log in with your Manifest credentials. Don’t create a separate Maker account. You’ll land on the Procedures tab, where draft templates will automatically appear. If your domain utilizes Orgs, you can use the dropdown in the top left corner to switch Orgs and the associated content. Note: You must have the “Author” role in order to sign into Maker via Manifest.

How Syncing Works

Procedures you create in Manifest will automatically appear in Maker. Procedures you create in Maker sync only after you link them to Manifest and assign an Asset Class. To do so, select ‘Link to Manifest’ in the top right hand corner of the editor. Once linked:
  • They appear across all devices and accounts in your domain
  • They appear in the correct Org(s)
  • Additional changes made and saved on either platform sync automatically

Manifest Templates in Maker

Template States and Visibility

To edit a Manifest template in Maker, ensure it’s in Draft status. If not, create a new draft version, then refresh Maker.
  • Draft templates appear in Maker and can be edited on both platforms
  • Submitted, Approved, Published, or Archived templates are not accessible in Maker
  • Rejected templates revert to draft status and reappear in Maker
Warnings:
  • Deleting a template deletes it from both platforms.
  • When multiple users edit simultaneously, the last save overrides all other changes. Only one author should edit at a time.

Unsupported Note Types

The following Manifest note types don’t appear in Maker but remain saved in Manifest:
  • Audio
  • Choice
  • Template
  • Model
  • Meter
  • Alignment Action
  • AR (Shape, Pen, Hands)

Finding Old Local Data

Unassigned Content Folder

Procedures created before Maker version 3.0 that were never linked to Manifest appear in an “Unassigned Content” folder. Key points:
  • This folder appears across all Orgs with identical content
  • Content does not sync across devices or accounts
  • You cannot create new Procedures in this folder
To sync Unassigned Content:
  • Open the Procedure
  • Select ‘Edit’
  • Select ‘Link to Manifest’
  • Assign an Asset Class from the list
  • Wait for changes to save
The Procedure will move out of the folder, appear in the correct Org(s), and sync to Manifest. Future edit on either platform will sync automatically once saved – no need to re-export.

Previously Exported Procedures

Procedures exported before version 3.0 appear in the correct Org(s) when you log in. If edited in Manifest since initial export, you’ll choose between:
  • Local version: Saved on your device (overrides Manifest when uploaded)
  • Manifest version: Current version in Manifest
Select ‘Save’ in the top right hand corner of the editor to sync with Manifest.

Media Library

Content you added to the Media Library before version 3.0 remains on the device where you added it. This content does not sync across devices or accounts. If you wish to sync Media Library content across multiple devices or users, utilize the Locations feature in Maker to connect your OneDrive.

Folders

Folders are not yet supported in Manifest, but can be utilized in Maker to organize procedures. Nested folders are allowed.

Multi-Device Usage

If you used Maker on multiple devices before version 3.0, each device may have different local Procedures. These won’t upload to Manifest until you log in on each specific device.
